100 years of cork making..there's more to it than you might think. Closed for lunch and every Monday and bank hols exc 14 Jly and 15 Aug.  Open July, Aug 10 to 6.30pm. Sep closed Sun am. Oct and Apr to June afternoons only.  4€, free for kids.
Plum museum, ferme Berino-Martinet, Granges sur Lot, 47320 Lafitte sur Lot More perhaps than you ever wanted to know about the noble plum and its 100 year history in this region. Apart from displays there is a 20 minute(!!) film, and, of course, a shop.  Picnic space by the river.  Maize maze (ho ho) open Jly thro Sep with late night torch trail at 8.30pm every Mon and Thu in Jly and Aug. No Topic museum, rue E. Zola, Cahors, 46000 Unhelpfully but romantically described as 'bridging the gap between the past and the present, its collections, its exhibitions...'oh well, I think you'll just have to go and see.  If someone would write a review on what is actually there it would be useful for the site.  Closed Tue and Sun mornings, 25 Dec, 1 Jan, 1 May.  Open 11am to 6pm.
Toy museum, Souillac, 46200.
The largest collection of mechanical toys in Europe.  Opening hours probably more complicated than the mechanisms of the toys themselves but basically open Jly Aug daily 10am to 7pm (thro lunch too) with lunch closure June Sep and shorter hours plus Mon Tue closure other months.  Details from 0565370707

The history of climbing and life in the Pyrenees and of the spa towns.  Closed for lunch and bank hols.  Open daily 9am to 6pm
Military museum, 'Malherbe" Brugnens near Florence 32500 Military uniforms, arms and transport from both world wars.  Open all year but you have to ring up first 0562066206 or 0562061451

Natural history

Natural history museum, Marciac, 32230 The fauna and flora of the Gers. Closed for lunch.  Open Mon to Fri 9am to 5pm
Naural history museum, Montauban, 82000 Stuffed birds plus fossils plus a meteorite which landed locally.  Closed for lunch and bank hols and Mon.  Open 10am to 6pm exc Sun which is afternoon from 2pm only.

Fine art, sculpture, studio crafts

Baroque chapel, La Chapelle nr Marsac 82120 Surely the prettiest and most unlikely church in the region.  Has a summer season of Sunday concerts in a  tiny baroque chapel perched on the top of a hill.  Don't be late, these concerts are always packed.  Free but please give a donation as you leave. Visits April to June 2-6pm, July to Aug also open 10 to 12 noon. 
Pottery museum, Auvillar, 82340 18th and 19th century domestic earthenwares.  Open May to Oct daily exc Tue, 3pm to 6.30pm.  Other months open weekends only, 2.30 to 5.30pm

Furniture, ceramics and costume museum, Moissac, 82200 Regional items from 17th to 19th century.  Closed for lunch and Mon.  Open Jly Aug 10am to 7pm, other months 10am to 5pm.  Closed all of Jan.

Abbaye de Flaran, Valence sur Baise, 32310 Cistercian Abbey housing the conservation department and exhibitions. Closed for lunch exc during Jly and Aug, and closed Jan.  Open 9.30 to 6pm.

A small private museum displaying paintings in the naive or folkart style (think Beryl Cooke and her rotund ladies on the bowling green).  Closed Tue and Wed, otherwise open daily (winter) 10am to 5pm, (summer, May to Oct) stays open till 7pm.  Between Condom and St Puy in the Gers.  5€.
